Alone...
Its difficult to be alone at times. Now some people will respond to this statement in an absolutely non-affirmative manner. They would say that its not at all difficult, in fact its fun to be alone, to do whatever one feels like, visit places of your choice and no one else's. But somewhere at the back of their minds, they might be wishing of someone to care, to share, to discuss and to roam around with. The other ilk of people would say that one cannot enjoy being alone, what is the point in just loitering around with no one at your side, obviously some would say it just out of fear of being alone or taking decisions on their own, with no one to assist. These are the same people who then have fights out of difference in opinions with their parents, mentors and buddies. What I am saying is not that it is or it is not good to be alone, only if one has an inclination towards either of this, he/she should be ready to accept the consequences and all the things which follow. After all every coin has 2 sides and after choosing 1, one should not crib about the disadvantages of it or the advantages of the other.

Law of Attraction.....
Well , a warning for the people who are reading this post captivated by the word 'Attraction'
(thinking it to be something about male-female attraction), please stop right here!...:D
Now , this is not something new, that I am writing about or what you haven't heard of , but am sure it is something you might not have not pondered upon earlier. You might have wondered at times as to why people who are depressed always seem depressed and people who are happy are always smiling however tired they are, or however gruelling their work schedule might be. Whatever or however one thinks is attracted back. This is the universal law of attraction. Now this is something which can be highly debated upon. But I believe it to be true. This can be applied to almost any situation, any problem whatsoever it might be(Remember 'ALL IZ WELL'). Sometimes it feels nice to share our tragedies, our maladies with others but we don't realize that after talking about that particular thing or 'sharing', we become more sad, thus defeating the entire purpose. The more we think about that particular thing the more we attract it towards us. Now this applies to good occurances as well. Say a person wants to reduce weight (which I don't think any female would reply in non affirmative barring few ...:P)and if one always crib about being over weight, that person would always be , in his/her own eyes however much he/she reduces. So, the starting point of this entire exercise would be to accept it as it is, and then start working upon it. This would not only give that 'feel good factor' but would also encourage one to put more efforts into it. Just to try it out, imagine that you are going to spend a particular day with utmost vigour and happiness and you will indeed find it to be the same, thus verifying the Law of attraction which also goes in tandom with many psychological studies that has been carried out.

Adjustment Problems
Many of us at many different places and specially new places, say a new workplace, face the so called Adjustment problems which makes a person feel uncomfortable and at the same time despising that particular environment. I think it is not the environment that is bad or the people difficult or unworthy to talk to ,its the insecurities or the mindset of that person himself which stops him/her to adapt to that particular sorroundings. Either there are people, who think the other person to be inferior to themselves or highly superior to themselves and thus prefer maintaining a distance. In either case what I think would be the best way is to accept people as they are and also not to get prejudiced about a particular individual. There might be certain characteristics which you might not like ,say a person talks too much, but there can be many striking ,which you dont know of and which you wont ever come to know if you dont go and talk to him/her. Also a strong belief in ones own capabilities and abilities ,which are always different and unique, matters a lot and it also has an effect on the way you present yourself before people and leave an impact on them.

Useless Competition...
The world is full of tensions, one could normally hear people say.People are tensed because of their Personal lives,Relationships,Status,Career and the list can be far extended.I think the root cause or the 'Sanjeevni' to curb this is to stop competition with others.People are sad not because of themselves but because others are happy......human nature. But it would be in the best interests of the person himself to suppress those feelings as far as possible.Be it or not but those dissappointments could be much reduced by adopting a different perspective alltogether, say maybe a certain Status might not give me the same 'Happiness' as the other person for which we work and take pains, afterall all of us are different and get satisfaction in different kind of things.

Paradox...Don't take things at face value.
This is something I really ponder upon...we all have many friends ,good friends who will always be at your side 'Supposedly' when u are sad or happy. But somewhere I feel that most of them are just imposters. They would say something and mean something. You must have found people hugging each other and wishing each other in a way as if they couldn't be happier after meeting some other person , and the moment the person goes away, 'biting their backs'.I find this all very fake and believe that a person should be true to oneself as well as others so that people around may not have 'High Hopes' from them because when hopes break.......IT REALLY HURTS.

Baffled..........
Recently I read a book and that was an autobiography of Sidney Sheldon. I t was an amazing book not because I was impressed with his life story or anything like that. It was because one of the lines in the book really impressed me"In your lifetime, sometimes the elevator is up,sometimes it is down, the trick is not to leave the elevator when it is down".......seems like one can relate it to almost every situation in life,it really worked for me,everything thus becomes bearable whatever it be.It helps to possess a brighter perspective during the harsher days of life and that is what is really important for a person to be in his/her senses during that time.
